About QISH

When I was a kitten, I was rejected by a pet shop. I thought that was bad, because I thought I am not lovable. But as it turned out, it was a blessing in disguise! I've heard of so many bad things and horror stories about pets that stay in a pet shop (fleas, mites, diseases, bad health in general).

About RUE

I am Rue, and I am your lil cat fairy. No, I don't have superpowers, but I do have super charms. I bring lots of mischief to my hooman momma, but she still thinks sweetly of me. I get naughty a lot of times, but she thinks it's cute! Only because I am charming, and I have the biggest eyes and the pink-est nose in the cat world!

OMG Moment of Horror

I love going inside things -- boxes, closets, cupboards -- anything that provides dark privacy to my liking. So imagine my excitement when I found the microwave oven slightly open on the countertop. I had to investigate, of course. It smelled of chicken, perhaps the dinner I just had. It was still warm, so it was perfect.

This Is Embarrassing (Video)

I don't think momma understands that this embarrasses me. And to add insult to the injury, she posted it in YouTube with this fancy schmancy music! My momma is B-A-D!!!

PAWsome Updates

-- Rue

Homeygad I haven't blogged for over a month! Momma was away again and you know I can't actually use the keyboard, so I was just pretty much hanging out with Qish all the time. She even brought the iPad with her, so I didn't have access to the interwebz and my favorite fishing game! Anyway, here are bits of stuff on what happened while we were not blogging.

==================================================

Since momma wasn't around for 9 days, grandma (lola) took care of us again and look at what she made for us! Now I can alternate this pretty new scarf with the one she made for me last August. She's the best lola in the world! Plus she gives us treats all the time so she's our favorite catsitter, too :)

New scarf, yay!

A scarf  for Qish, too! It perfectly complements Qish's blue eyes :)

And this is my current favorite: my lil charming princess dress! Lovingly knitted by my grandma! I swear I look super cute in it :)

==================================================

Momma started a cat feeding program for the homeless kitties under Magallanes Interchange flyover. Right now she feeds 6 cats at night before going home. Her next project is to have them spayed so they stay a small family.

==================================================

I won in Nestlé Purina's contest last Halloween, and look what I got! I am planning to give this to my homeless brothers and sisters pictured above.

==================================================

I got two new Hello Kitty clothes! I super love them! Cat on cat, teehee :)

==================================================

Look at what our momma did when she was in Phuket! She said she missed us so much so she hugged and kissed a local kitty :)

Fashionista Rue

-- Rue

I have been so blessed lately. When momma went to Malaysia last month, we were left with grandma and she's the best catsitter and knitter! She made us fat and she made me the best accessories:

Can you see the little pom-pom on my head?! I so love this! A friend said I look like Amelia Earhart :))
And this scarf makes me look so sophisticated! I wear this everyday.

Then yesterday, I received a package from Aunt Trish and Aunt Tash (pet mommas of our Pom friends Jacks and Shachie), and it contains this supermegaultrafab hoodie with a Hello Kitty pouch! OMG I died of cuteness! Who doesn't love Hello Kitty, anyway?!

Momma said I am the cutest thing on earth! I guess all mommas say that to their kids :D

Kitty Heaven in Malaysia

-- Hooman Momma

I must be in kitty heaven, because when I stayed at Seaside Travellers Inn in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, I was surrounded by loads of beautiful kitties!!!

It's a quaint but lovely little resort 20 minutes from the city of Kota Kinabalu. The staff is very friendly, the accommodation homey, the food great, but what's really endearing about this place is that the owners are big kitty lovers, and they have a big heart for just every kitty!

Don't tell my babies, but I somehow didn't miss them because I was surrounded by all these wonderful cats who make their presence felt by rubbing their beautiful body against my legs. Okay, I'm lying. I actually Skype-d and Whatsapp-ed with my mom ALL THE TIME to check on Qish and Rue, and I am thankful that wifi is available in every corner of this resort. This was my favorite spot:

Beware, though. Apply Citronella or whatever insect spray you have when you stay at this resort, because I got bitten big time by sandflies and I am still itching from the bites after 3 weeks! But the kitties more than made up for it. I actually felt that I didn't want to leave when it was time to! I never got a chance to touch Qish look-alike, because she would run away whenever I approach her. She's a total beauty though:

And this girl, oh, this girl! She showered me with lots of love and attention, I am actually missing her right now! She's gorgeous, don't you think? Just look at those beautiful markings! She's like Rue in black and white :)

NOTE: I was in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia from Aug. 22-29, 2012 for Coalition Duchenne's Mt. Kinabalu Expedition Climb. It was a total blast. More stories and photos of my trip can be found at The BRATpacker.

Pilipinas Got Celebrity Rue!

-- Rue

Okay, it's official. I am now a celebrity!

I had my taping yesterday at Studio 5 in ABS-CBN, with other famous celebrities Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford. My call time was at 2:00 PM, but they made me wait! They started shooting at around 6:00 PM and my part was shot at around 7:00 PM. Too bad Billy is allergic to cats, so he was avoiding me (boo!). Luis is not a cat person (double boo!) but he handled me well, although I was a little scared of the lights so I was shivering. It was also very cold at the studio, my ears and paws were frozen! It was very quick, but I got a talent fee so all was good. Now the hard part is waiting for it to air. I have a very low EQ (just like my momma) so I couldn't wait to see myself on TV! We're not even sure if it will be shown locally, because momma thinks it was a plug for the The Filipino Channel (TFC) which is the one that airs abroad. So if you happen to see me, do let me know! I want to see how cute I look on TV!!! :)

My dawgie friends Jacks and Shachie were there, too! Jacks was so cute being naughty and Shachie was such a charming sweetie :)

Thank you so much for this great opportunity Tita Tash and Mr. Andrew Go! :)
