Qish is now 5!

-- Hooman Momma

I'm so sorry, I have been so busy with so many things that I didn't have time to post in the past weeks!

My aristo-cat Qish is now 5, yay! We celebrated it with the winners of the PAWsome Cat Contest and some friends at BFast, Ayala Triangle Gardens.

Okay, so I started scouting for a venue in January, because I knew I would have a hard time looking for a restaurant that would allow a birthday pawty for pets, and that would actually allow pet guests to attend! I tried three different restaurants and luckily, BFast never hesitated one bit in accommodating Qish's pawty. I would guess this is the first time they had a pet party, but they did so well in taking care of our two and four-legged guests.

People stopped by to check out Qish's tarp! Some even took photos :)

This was a celebration of Qish's 5 beautiful years with me. I had him when I had nothing, and he kept me alive. It was a dark moment in my life that I wouldn't know how to pull through if I didn't have a blue-eyed furry responsibility. Our life together got better, but soon after he had serious illnesses back in 2009 and 2010 that I thought I would lose him. He had a bad case of food allergy in 2009, and developed Acute Renal Failure (ARF) in 2010. But through his vets' great work and my research on cat nutrition, we managed to improve Qish's life by changing his diet and being very careful in the treats that I give him. He hadn't been sick again since then. Sure, there are occasional barf accidents on the floor and his bad habit of not covering his super stinky poop, but our little kitty family has been just great.

Now back to the pawty. I wish I hired a photographer to document the event, because I wasn't able to take much photos. I just was such a nervous host, I guess. And Qish didn't help in entertaining the guests at all (in fact, he hissed at everyone!), but Rue did a great job of making sure that everyone's happy.

And these are the food for hoomans! We had a brunch buffet feast for all those two-legged guests :)

BFast's very warm and attentive waiter wanted to take part in the celebration. But he didn't have a real cat, so he got Maneki Neko instead :D

We had loot bags for the furry guests, souvenirs for hooman guests and a message book where the hoomans can write/doodle their messages for Qish.

Hey, look! It's a cat cup! :)

And of course, the ever charming Rue was there to greet the guests!

floppy legs!
Momma, I want my face on a tarp, too!
It was so much fun to be wif hoomans who are just as crazy wif their pets! I hope the guests had a great time. Now thinking about what to do for Rue's birfday, hmmnn...

It looks like a fantastic part that you threw for Quish!  My mom person says that I have pulled her through some very hard times too.  The love of a pet will always help you.

Your mom person is right! Pets are always there to make our world a better (and more bearable) place to live in :)

Awww... So cute! I wish I can have a party for Arya too. Pero I doubt if we'll have visitors. Virtual party na lang kaya? :)

Hehe pwede rin, @Cham Cuartero ! Pero I'm sure naman may dadating dyan, or kahit simple celebration at home, pwede rin :)

Thanks for having us <3  It was such an awesome party! :)
